Buyer beware; These E-bay descriptions for Giovanni Desimone pottery are incorrect. I have this bowl thst used to have a large and small pitchers with it. I have this interesting little vase which has been handed down in my family.

I have found a few in the same shape but with different art on them to mine ranging from low to high prices but after hours of looking can not find the actual one in my possession. Originally I thought it was Scottish as I believed thats where it had come from, but upon researching the name on the bottom I believe it to be an Italian Deruta. The rim on the base is unglazed and dark brown but quite smooth It belonged to my grandparents, who were big travellers and bought it back from Italy.
