We're grateful to have our offices and community spaces on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering places for many Indigenous People including the Nehiyawak/Cree, Tsuut'ina, Niitsitapi/Blackfoot, Mtis, Nakota Sioux, Haudenosaunee/Iroquis, Dene Sulin, Anishinaabe/Ojibway/Saulteaux, and the Inux/Inuit. Woven through the workshop, participants will learn the importance of animal fibers in Indigenous artistic practices and gain experience with traditional skills including tufting and horsehair embroidery.
