I used it with cleansing device (foreo) to massage my skin well, before rinsing. I use it each morning as the first step in the Neostrata system. It does not dry my skin or cause irritation and it works great at removing makeup residue. I always prefer fragrance free products, as some fragrances make my eyes water and I appreciated that this range was also fragrance free. I feel it might be not good idea to use the acid product near eye area. I've also used every product under the sun and this cleanser not only makes my skin feel clean but I have noticed a complete change in the complexion of my skin. I was hoping this cleanser would be as good as the other NeoStrata product. I really really think this cleanser is worth its high pricetag. I am so far a fan of this gel cleanser from Neostrata! I am not sure if it reduced my oiliness but it certainly did not increase. It's a superficial exfoliant that will help smooth rough skin.
