Really interesting site. Erected in 1864, this neo-Byzantine church was established atop foundations of an ancient fort. Coming from the port area, you will walk through the restored old fort and learn about the history of it as well as Marseille through interesting short videos and audio guide you can listen to on your phone. The church is very beautiful and I would recommend to go there to see the sunset. This medieval bridge is not only a great work of architecture but also a lovely spot to spend an afternoon, making it one of the best things to do in Avignon. Coming from the port area, you will walk through the restored old fort and learn about the history of it as well as Marseille through interesting short videos and audio guide you can listen to on your phone. The church is very beautiful and I would recommend to go there to see the sunset. This medieval bridge is not only a great work of architecture but also a lovely spot to spend an afternoon, making it one of the best things to do in Avignon.
