I absolutely love this machine attachment when working with Smart Vinyl and Smart Iron-on. A paper trimmer is included in the roll holder but if you dont have that, you will need a wider paper trimmer.
I like to think about this machine as everything the original Cricut Maker can do plus so much more. The machine button design has also been slightly updated, with a play triangle button replacing the Cricut C button on Cricut Maker. Cricut does have an Android and iOS app, so you can use a smartphone, but you wont have all of the capabilities of a desktop computer if you go that route. First Ill start off by letting you know that I make stencils because I do custom painting for people but the stencils sometimes take me almost a full day to cut out with my exacto knife. My favorite craft store JOANN sent me a new Cricut Maker 3 and now Im happy to share the features of this new machine with you! You can definitely cut them down and put them on the mat. A maximum length of 4 feet is recommended for iron-on. That means you can create larger than life projects without having to do a ton of piecing together. This will be slightly longer than your design as the machine needs a little at the start and end for gripping. I dont have the roll holder at this time, but when I do get one I will make sure to write a post specifically about how to use it! Well, you can just add them and let the roll rest on the table, however, you might want to consider adding a roll holder to your machine! You can still cut all of those! Yes, the Cricut Maker 3 can cut up to 8 inches per second when cutting Smart Materials. This is convenient if you have have some Smart Materials but some regular materials as well to make one project. Cricut Smart Materials were specifically designed for the Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3, and the machines were also designed for the material as well (including the guides and sensors on the tray). These have a variety of materials for you to start out with so you can try different projects and get an idea of what youd like to do with this machine. What are Smart Materials? Ive searched online but all I found is the rotary replacement blades and other quick swap blades but I cant seem to find the rotary blade with the drive housing. And I like it a lot, more then my 24in plotter most of the time.
