The service is on high standards and the food will not dissapoint you . Somellier George was very knowledgable and explained everything about Santorini wines. The taste of the food was ok. Weve tried different dishes and everything was spot on. Side baby roasted potatoes were so delicious. Additional plus is a group of lovely cats that live on site and contribute to the nice and relaxed atmosphere. Ordered the salmon in clay pot, shrimp spaghetti, green tea mojito (mocktail) and spicy lemon (mocktail). Stopped by while touring the island, great food, great views, and great service. Amazing place with very warm atmosphere. The staff were OK, if not a little despondent. However, Sphinx has one of the largest selection of wines on the island with more than 400 lables, all kept in the underground cellar which used to be the old buildings water tank. We have been there when they first open in 2016, we are exciting about the opportunity to visit during 2021 October, unfortunately the entire restaurant since change to upscale pricing without upscale their food to go with it. - sea bass was tender and smoky in flavor. And good was delicious!!! Beautiful view of the Sunset. Its a small two story restaurant with a nice sunset view, so be sure to make a reservation. Absolutely recommended. Portions are good. If you want to sit at a cafe, have some drinks, and admire the sunset, go here! It has a very calm and relaxing vibe to it and tables have a lot of space between them on a beautiful roof top terrace. The salads and hummus were so tasty and fresh. Dessert was also very good. The Starters were delicious and so tasteful. Sphinx is one of the best Oia restaurants with a view. We tried two out of three menus - sad to say we had more uninspired dishes lacking flavor than not. Such a shame because if you keep walking farther down into Thera, youll find much better options. The restaurant was previously a wine cellar and they have incorporated the design into the restaurant and it looks lovely. Would definitely return for a nice meal! It is expensive so mentally prepare for that. Definitely recommend, not a bad word to say definitely worth a visit. Overall, good to try at least once if youre in the area. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the island. Upon making the reservation, we were never told that it would be too late for the tasting menu so we were a bit disappointed with that. Need a reservation if going for dinner. We were super well received with a complimentary digestive from Peloponnese (cinnamon liquor). Texture was even and the sweetness not at all overpowering. The food itself is mainly inspired by greek cuisine and Remvi is also a great option for a lunch during the day. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and worth visiting. This is a special occasion restaurant, so keep that in mind as its a gastronomical and fine dining experience that can be compared with the best restaurants in the US or Europe. However, the owner was friendly. Staff was very friendly and very calm which really creates a relaxed and lovely atmosphere. You've got a few different options in Ammoudi. Italian style kitchen. When it came time to order we shared our initial request, but after asking what we were looking for, our two waiters helped give suggestions. We stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel and had an outstanding breakfast both days, with sunsets in the ClearSpa hot tubs, an amazing addition to the cosy rooms. We were the last ones in the bar and the stuff was very attentive. All in all a nice place. The food is very good. Navigate forward to interact with the calendar and select a date. Many of us are foodies on the Wanderlog team, so naturally were always on the hunt to eat at the most popular spots anytime we travel somewhere new. The food was delicious but the dessert and the hospitality was 5 star plus. Romantic venue with a terrace offering local dishes & desserts, plus coffee, wine & craft cocktails. Map updates are paused. Good portion and super tasty in every bite. Melinas is an absolutely wonderful place to eat and be surrounded by the beautiful seaside. We had dinner here on two evenings as it was right next to our B&B. Do not miss out on this spot! For breakfast, we enjoyed the pancakes, avocado toast, and the yogurt bowl. I went out with my foodie son to find a place to eat dinner. Honestly I couldnt fault any of the dishes and I was literally licking the plates thats how good it was! One of my favorite restaurants in Santorini. Best meal of our break, I had the salmon and my partner had the moussaka, absolutely beautiful, followed by homemade desserts, which were delicious. Say away!
Firstly, this restaurant couldn't be better situated - right on the water in scenic Ammoudi Bay. And the bread wasnt even warm which I found to be interesting. We will be here for a week, and we plan at minimum to come back and chat about our wine experience with Babis since he was so friendly and really knows a lot. Finally, they always toed the line well between being engaging and giving you space to enjoy the meal. The restaurant offers one of the best menus on the island with great interior design and (as expected) stunning views of the volcano and the famous sunset. The food is good but we didn't find it amazing. The atmosphere is very pleasant with very good staff, the menu is varied and they truly serve fresh quality fish and seafood. Ohlet's not forget the drinks. I was so happy we found this place. - Gavalas Santorini 2021 Dry White Wine The pougakia is the best dish Ive ever had chicken mastihato as well! The restaurant has a large selection of fish and meat courses along with some of the best cocktails in Oia. The restaurant offers a great selection of seafood casually with large portions (compared to other restaurants) and its not pretending to be something more than it really is: a casual greek taverna with great greek food. moreover we want to take the menu at 130 euros: we were refused because someone would have liked the replacement of the beef carpaccio .. Three times the manager takes away our unfinished plate I even have to hold it back!! Each were very fun and a pleasant surprise. But its not only that. Highly recommend to anyone who loves seafood!
Super Mario was very kind and attentive as well. The drinks were great, very flavorful and good presentation. We managed to get them to seat us at the bar luckily. The suite was beautiful, the room was clean and tidy everyday, breakfast was okay and the host/staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was also exceptional, we loved the mussels and the pork belly. We ate dinner here during our last night in Santorini in October and it was the best dinner we had. Initially we stayed at a table right in front over the sea, but without any sun and the fresh air was unpleasant, but minutes later a nearby table with sun vacated and the staff let us change without any problem. Thank you to everyone at the venue, we cant speak highly of you enough, you really made our first few days as husband and wife absolutely perfect. It has been a surprising gem in our journey and are very happy we came! Great place to enjoy a meal while watching the beautiful sunset. Good service, and food was just average. Everything was on point, the food the view and the service, the only thing thats killing the whole experience was the last dessert it was too sweet and the chocolate was an overlap with the second last dessert. While its easy to think they were costlier suggestions, they werent, and in the end we were VERY happy with their advice. This was the best restaurant in Santorini! This is warm and inviting restaurant with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Other dishes seemed a bit overworked, tuna didnt seem very fresh, and sides to sea bream filet werent very flavorful. The first time, we were able to get a seat by the water, where the second time, we sat further in. Can get quite windy but you get a very good view of the sunset. Every dish was great, including the complimentary bread and feta cheese mousse, which was our favorite. My friend and I stopped here for a nightcap after dinner. We had a nice table up on the terrace and could see the sunset. Ive had 3 different seafood pastas from different places and so far Pelekanos is my favorite. Must go place in Exo Gonia, Santorini. The service and the view are good, that's the only reason they get two star s. Really disappointing experience - booked in advance for my honeymoon, paid deposit and was excited for this to be one of our top meals in Santorini. Fanari offers very casual but really yummy food at an excellent location in Fira. This for me is the best place to eat around the Kamari area. There are 6 and 7 course dinners to select from but these change a lot depending on the season and the chef so please make sure you get the latest menu from the service team. Waiters were not very friendly. The pesto calamari appetizer was also a hit with our group. We tried the mezze for 2 @ 68. I recommend coming around 2-4pm as its less busy and ambiance is enjoyable. They had a very nice patio outside with plenty of seating along with a bar and a few tables inside. The lunch was an experience! The event manager helped us book our transfers to the Port ahead of time and was outstanding throughout.
