What are some of the property amenities at Tamarind Hills? From Tamarind Oceans 1 we moved on to Tamarind Oceans 9 and this villa is, without doubt, one of my favourite properties on the island. Beach Front You step directly onto the powder-soft, Caribbean sand from your beachfront villa at Tamarind Hills.
Privacy Policy
The restaurants are planned to open by the end of the year, but in the meantime, guests are spoilt for choice in the surrounding area: Dennis Cocktail Bar and Restaurant sits right on Ffryes Beach and serves delicious pia coladas and Caribbean fare like curried goat and their special Ffryes Bay shrimp.

Darkwood beach also features a local beach bar as well as water sports. Everyone we met- from the friendly gatekeeper to the pool attendant to Brian the Manager- all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to ensure we enjoyed every moment at Tamarind. The location of Tamarind Hills is superb as you are a 25 minute drive to V C Bird International Airport, and a 15 minute drive to the capital, St Johns. Unfortunately, the property has not had a big pool or restaurant on-site, but they are working on opening one later this year, making this place ideal. Guests can easily waltz over to either or choose to catch some rays on the resorts own private beach.

I enjoyed the peace of mind and relaxation of it all. The villas and suites are arranged in a terraced design with cement paths snaking through them like a maze. "I have taken several of the family cars here for the past several years and without exception the experiences have been outstanding. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Everything really exceeded our expectations.
Jackie Os, over the hill from Darkwood Beach, is an elegant beachfront bar and restaurant with a great menu, cocktail list and views. I would highly recommend this place to any one who wants great service, honest value, and really great people.". We stayed at a 2 bedroom villa, a 3 bedroom villa and now the kingfish one bedroom .They have all been spectacular in their varying views. Many travelers enjoy visiting Shirley Heights (9.8 miles), Fort Barrington (5.9 miles), and Fort James (6.3 miles). Yard managers Susie and Kent have a full stable of excellent horses to cater for all abilities. --- then Tamarind Hills is where you want to be. Stay up to date with our special offers, travel tips and the Antiguans are proud to say that the island has one beach for every day of the year, and out of those we visited, Ffryes stood out. I would note a 'home from home' but my view from my home is not quite Fryers Beach. We would love to return when everything is finished, as it will be amazing. My only suggestion would be to bring some food and a few large bottles of water when you arrive since they only provided two small bottles daily and the water isnt potable. Whilst Tamarind Hills is already considered to be one of the most esteemed luxury stays on the island, the plans they have aim to cater to guests needs without them ever having to leave the resort grounds. You are be able to walk over to this beach in minutes. Id definitely recommend if youre trying to get away and relax.

Which popular attractions are close to Tamarind Hills? English harb our with all its attractions is a beautiful half hour drive away, through the rainforest. The Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program has also helped to sweeten the deal as it provides investors with not only a gorgeous piece of property at an exclusive address, but they also get access to visa-free travel to over 150 countries. The latter is definitely highly recommended and will not break the bank! The major issue we encountered was the noise from the construction which was quite unbearable at times. The warm powdery white sand of Ffryes is exquisite as is the calm turquoise Caribbean Sea. This is the version of our website addressed to speakers of English in the United States. Sandwiched between 2 amazing beaches it was hard to even want to leave but Antigua is gorgeous and worth going out and exploring!

They were a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive and informative. Tripadvisor gives a Travelers Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor. The decor is interesting and kind of. The beach was awesome as well. On entering, you are greeted with a real sense of home. Three of the bedrooms are located on this level while downstairs you will find the forth bedroom, all of which have their own en-suite bathroom, TV and air conditioning. All the rooms are amazing.
Margarita, Nafuna and Bancroft are exceptional assets to Tamarind Hills and topped off what was a fabulous stay at Tamarind Hills ;o). The rooms all look very much as shown in photos on Tamarind Hills website. Miracles, on the entrance road to Jolly Harbour is well worth a visit for delicious, local and beautifully-presented food!
A holistic resort experience was always on the cards and they are receiving lots of interest from international individuals who are eager to purchase villas as investment opportunities. My colleagues and I all agreed they were the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in! The water here is almost always calm and is a great place to swim. They were a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive and informative. Three of the bedrooms are located on this level while downstairs you will find the forth bedroom, all of which have their own en-suite bathroom, TV and air conditioning. All the rooms are amazing.
Margarita, Nafuna and Bancroft are exceptional assets to Tamarind Hills and topped off what was a fabulous stay at Tamarind Hills ;o). The rooms all look very much as shown in photos on Tamarind Hills website. Miracles, on the entrance road to Jolly Harbour is well worth a visit for delicious, local and beautifully-presented food!
A holistic resort experience was always on the cards and they are receiving lots of interest from international individuals who are eager to purchase villas as investment opportunities. more. The villa overlooks Ffryes beach, which was one of the prettiest beaches we saw on the island and was always quiet. We did not use the sunbeds provided by the hotel and paid for the ones by Dennis Restaurant which is at the other end of Ffryes beach - honestly at $20 per day - it was worth it!
