There was entertainment every-night Salgar is quiet with 2 restaurants and a shop that sells everything and a ride on the mini train we were going to got to a restaurant in the square as both looked lovely but the food was enjoyable in the restaurant so we didn't feel the need in a week away. In the evening, PortBlue Salgar Hotel hosts live entertainment that you can enjoy in the lounge with a drink from the bar. Hotel guests can sit and drink in the shaded pool side bar area (one of our favourite spots) and on the large bean bags at no cost. I understand that the hotel rooms have all been refurbished to include new double glazed patio doors, new beds and room furniture and fully refurbished bathrooms with walk in showers. This attitude is totally at odds with the way in which the hotel is run day to day and is presumably a ploy by the owners to pick up a few extra Euros per day into their coffers. The resort of SAlgar is only 20 / 25 minutes from the Airport which is one of its appeals along with a clean, serene and safe environment. Entertainment starts at 10.00 PM and is low key and so you might want to consider a walk up the hill to the sister hotel where I was told by another guest that the entertainment is more lively. Very clean modern hotel If you have any issues, talk to the reception team and if they can't help, ask to talk to the GM Javier or his assistant Laura who are both so approachable and professional (don't wait until you get home as most things can be resolved). The fortress is also home to an art gallery where you can see objects excavated from the site. Champagne at check in. During the start of our holiday The Kentia club had a very different feel to what we had experienced in previous visits as it sets itself up with an Ibiza vibe along with its modern Balinese beds and afternoon DJ sets pumping out chill out music. There is a price guide on the wall and we found that both our journeys were cheaper than the guide (27 euros) and so I would have no hesitation to use them again.
